HAVE you ever came to the end of a chapter in your life and missed it a lot? Every day you experience a memory cropping up in your mind, which reminds you of the times you loved.
Well I certainly have and lately I have been thinking about that particular chapter loads.
As you all know, at the beginning of summer, last year, I completed University after studying Multimedia Journalism for three years, in total. And I must admit, I’m still not over the thought of being finished my years of studying, altogether.
If I had the chance, I would go back to University, in a heartbeat and do it all over again, again and again.
Now, I bet many of you are thinking… Why?
Well I’ll tell you why…
There are lots of different things which I miss about University, including: friends, studying, lecturers, socialising and more.
Now that I have finished University, I am working in a fast food restaurant doing the same thing every single day.
I must admit, when I was in the middle of my studies at University, I imagined myself to be in a decent, well-paid job, doing different things each day and without a doubt, something within the media, by this time. But unfortunately, that dream is still yet to occur.
Although, I don’t mind working in Burger King, as I love the people I work alongside and we have countless laughs together, I would just love to take my degree further – show it off to the world and allow myself to develop a range of new skills.
At the moment, I feel like I have a lot of free time on my hands – it feels surreal not having any coursework to focus on or presentations to prepare or exams to revise for; therefore, this enforces me to miss University a lot!
I guess it is just going to take a little while to get used to, after spending my whole life in education, I have finally stepped out in to the big wide world with my own independence, and I’m not going to lie, it is very scary.
